I noticed that a 2018 MBP with FileVault2 NOT enabled will show
FileVault 2 Partition Encryption State:
Encrypted
in its inventory info.
fdesetup status
confirms that FV2 is off.
diskutil apfs list
says "FileVault: No (Encrypted at rest)", probably because of the T2,
but that shouldn't affect the reported value in my opinion.
Anyone seeing the same? Is this by design for T2 Macs? Anyone have an iMac Pro at hand to see what that reports?
