Maintenance Payload for Inventory Update not working?

Hi Folks,

We are running into more and more computers where the maintenance payload of a policy to update the inventory isn't actually updating the JSS. We have resorted to using a quick script to run the recon command AFTER everything is finished in order for the update to actually work.

Anyone else seeing this?

I have seen spotty function from this too. You can throw in the one-liner in "File and Processes" as well.

I know when we talked to Jamf Support about this they recommended easing back a bit on these policies that rely on that mechanism (app installs, updates, et cetera that run ongoing on recurring check-in), but that had more to do with the sheer number of devices we are handling and some performance issues we have had.
