So I'm a bit new to using the back end of JAMF and don't have much experience with scripting yet, but I'm hoping for help getting started here. The previous MDM admin at my organization was using smart groups to scope apps by the appropriate department. To clean things up and get JAMF Cloud running a little faster we want to move away from Smart Groups when possible.
What we are looking to do is run a script to go through all of our apps, looking at the scope and matching the existing smart groups to the departments, then adding those departments to the scope of those apps.
I was able to pull the SmartGroup ID numbers as well as the Department ID numbers and would prefer to use the ID numbers to make the If/Then statements a bit shorter and easier to type up. I've been searching for several days and have not found any good examples online so if anyone here would have a good suggestion I would greatly appreciate it.
