Self Service Installs

I am using Self Service 9.4 and when my users run the install it puts the app in the root folder instead of Applications. How do I change it in on Casper Server to install in Applications?

Are you using Composer to package the Applications?

If so, you need to make sure there is a /Applications folder in the composer window. Then add the application to that folder and compose it.

The problem could be many things. You haven't given us much to go on, so I'll mention one possibility.

You may have taken a vendor supplied DMG and just uploaded it "as is" for your software install.
The problem with this is Jamf Pro uses the DMG format, but expects to see a folder structure on where the application should go. Since vendor DMGs don't have any folders, it just installs it at the root level.

A less likely possibility is that you created a Composer package or DMG that simply grabbed the app from the root of the hard drive and it copied that path in. I'm guessing you would have noticed this, so I don't think that's the issue, but am mentioning it in case it was not a vendor DMG you used.
