Spontaneous Apple ID - VPP Error

One user has reported that she no longer able to open a VPP distributed Mac App Store app. She has been using it successfully for over a year but suddenly she can no longer open it. She receives the following error:

be1b7dffb7d0456baee281469c6f543f

On her system, when I try to log in to the Mac App Store with the Apple ID that was used to accept the VPP invitation, I receive the following error:

5616fd24a1644e84ab40513bcc3dddd6

So far this is the only user that is experiencing this.

Any thoughts?

Could it have something to do with this.

@ mpermann Yes I hope so.

I want to delete the app and start with a new download, but since the user can no longer log in with her Apple ID that was used to assign the app I think it better to wait it out a few hours.

The problem is spreading to more users. More are reporting the issue.

I've opened a ticket with Apple. Hopefully this is the correct place.

@gskibum & @mpermann I've just blogged about this expired cert issue & have an EA to help track down the apps with expired certs, available here.

@ bentoms

Thank you for the info. Unfortunately for the affected users, they are unable to log in to the Mac App Store with the Apple ID that the VPP content was assigned to. They just receive the error message in the second screen shot I posted above.
