We have been using Jamf School (previously Zuludesk) for three or four years with good results, just using the console and Jamf Teacher.
This year we want to try giving the parents some degree of control over their children's devices using Jamf Parent.
In order to do that, you have to open the Jamf Student app on the kid's iPad and select an option called "Grant root access" or something like that (it's "Autorizar raíz" in Spanish).
Edit: I'll edit the post in case somebody else finds the same issue. It seems we have two different locations created (now we will have to try and merge them). And the Child / Parent system was activated in one location but not in the other.
However we have detected several instances in which that option is missing. All the iPads have been set up (unless we missed something) the same way but sometimes the first option is "Join class" instead of "Grant root".
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
