Does the reassignment of a Push Certificate affects the MDM?

We have Jamf School in use and now we need to reassign the push certificates to a central Apple-account since before we used to renew them with the personal ones. In Jamf i have the option to change the Apple-Account to which the certificate is assigned but will it affect in any way our MDM and will the devices be still available ?

Thanks in advance

Changing the account that generated the push certificate breaks communication for all devices, and they would have to be re-enrolled.

If you want the push certificate to be generated under a different account, you can reach out to Apple support. They are the only ones who could do something like this, without breaking everything

Changing the Apple Account will impact the Push Notification service. To renew the certificate, you must use the same Apple ID.

You can transfer the Push Notification service from one Apple ID to another (personal to Managed Apple ID).

To do this, contact your Apple Support and provide both IDs. They will transfer the certificate in the background. Once transferred, you can log in with your new Apple ID and download the certificate to renew the APNS certificate.

Hello and thank you for the fast replies. Yesterday the Apple support kindlly reassigned 18 certificates to a different Apple-Account and it worked fine, this was using ISERV as MDM. But now we have a  location using JAMF as MDM and because inside of JAMF software you have the option to change the Apple Account to which the certificate is assigned, i asked myself if it would change the MDM or do any damage. SInce i know it now, i will again contact the suppport to reassign the last two locations, thanks a lot and have a great day.
