Deleting a specific file

Hi-

Has anyone tried deploying the latest Flash plugin? Adobe's moved away from their pkg installer to the .app installer which means that instead of having to just drag the pkg into Casper Admin, it now needs packaging. I swear Adobe…

Anyway, Safari easily finds the new plugin and reports the correct version, however Firefox does not. In order to do so, a file needs to be deleted so that it's rebuilt, pluginreg.dat, which lives in the Firefox profile folder. The problem with that is the <random thing>.default. I tried using the advanced tab configured as shown, but it didn't seem to do anything.

I must be doing it wrong… Anyone?

You can wild card the profile since it is random numbers, and if you
are 1 user per a machine you'll be fine, if not use a log in hook policy
that grabs the currently logged in user and applies it to theirs.

Though it looks like this got taken care of, I’ll mention that the check boxes only work straight across from each line. That is, the ‘delete if found’ box is only good for the “Search for file by path” line, etc.

Just so we are not spreading false information that is not true about the check marks needing to be across from each other. I regularly uninstall firefox using the search file by name and deleting it if found as it is in the example above.
