''Unable to find item in network database'' Error running script: return code was 8

Hi,

Our Macs are set to start up at 6 am, this allows us to run installs, updates and policies before our users login and start working.

This morning we ran a simple script to update the ''Bypass settings for these Hosts & Domains'' settings the policy is restricted to Macs running El Cap (10.11) under Casper 9.91.

The script failed on around a third of the workstations (see error extract below), these are a mix of 'old' MacPro's through to new iMacs, all running the same OS build so there doesn't at first glance appear to be a connection between the failures and a particular Mac model or the OS.

All Macs are bound to AD, we do use VLAN which has caused issues for some Mac enterprise tools in the past.

Any insights as to what causes this would be useful.
Cheers
Phil

Check your script, it might have formatting issues. My script had issue with the "" being formatted wrong. Which is why it is working in the terminal and not in your script.
