When a new computer is enrolling in MDM, and going through the account creation process. We try to create a user account that meets all policies and we are receiving an error stating that the " Computer account creation failed " Your computer account cannot be created with the name and password specified, please try again. Then computer freezes, after reboot the account is created and profile runs with provided credentials.
The admin account is on the machine though, but we are trying to figure out why our JSS says it fails.
I think this may be when the trigger is applied but I am not sure, this happened after the recent upgrade.

have you checked /Library/Application Support/JAMF/Downloads ?
if create_p-admin01.4.pkg is in the downloads folder, delete it & retry

We have JAMF cloud and our users get this a lot, even when running on very stable internet connections.

Anyone find a resolution for this? We're seeing it on 10.20.1 on Jamf Cloud with physical and virtual machines.

we've seen this behavior as follows:
Cmd-R (we erase the drive)
install the OS
once the machine reboots, disconnect the network connection
we leave the computer in the create account screen waiting for 24 hours
connect the network cable
create the account and the machine shows the computer account creation failed
we suspect a daemon times out as it did not have an active network connection..
