iPad (ios) data wipe?

We have 2 iPad carts (30 in each). I was wondering if there is a way we could remotely wipe the ipads each day? Our fear is that a student could leave open session of email, facebook, etc...without logging out. the next day a different student will have access to personal information. However, we would want to keep the applications, just don't want any personal data left behind.

I'm guessing you want to restore the iPads back to a particular "image" yes?

If so, you would need to use Apple Configurator to accomplish this (can't do it OTA). Do you have a sync computer on top of each cart? If so try "Supervising" the iPads in Apple Configurator and set it to restore a backup of your "image." Then each time an iPad is plugged back into the cart, it will reset itself back to your default image (ie backup restore) and keep any applications and restrictions (as set in Apple Configurator).

If you want to "wipe" them back to a factory default, you can use the wipe feature in the JSS and do it OTA (but I think you can only wipe them one at a time). This will erase everything and put it into a factory default setting. This won't keep any applications or settings but is something that you can do OTA.

Hope this helps!
